So, I was reading random stuff today and stumbled across this little gem:

In the early 1990’s Eqbal Ahmad was granted a parcel of land in Pakistan by Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s government to build an independent, alternative university, named Khaldunia. The land was later seized by Bhutto’s husband, Asif Zardari, reportedly to build a golf course and club.

I suppose one should be innured to vagaries of the “State” of Pakistan, but this little tid-bit hit me hard in the face.

It rings the bell even if it is not true. No?

@Zak: Actually, I didn’t get that bit from wiki. It came from here.

Second that, Shirazi.
